Pastor Matt was blessed to grow up in a Christian home and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior when he was nine years old. He enrolled at West Coast Baptist College right out of high school and graduated with his bachelors in 2010. He met Rizza while in Bible college and they were married in 2013. A year later, the Lord opened the door to serve in full-time ministry as a Youth Pastor for three years in Southern California, and then as an Assistant Pastor working with young adults and young families for five years in Washington. He recently completed his Masters of Divinity from Liberty University’s John W. Rawlings School of Divinity in May of 2022. Pastor Matt and his wife Rizza have been blessed with three precious children: Mikaella, Mason, and Micah. He enjoys quality time with his family, playing sports, kayaking, and connecting with people. On June 5th 2022, our church family voted in Pastor Matt as the second pastor of Hillcrest Baptist.
